The challenge

Policy documents on AI and data were long, legal and unread, while staff were pasting customer details into public chatbots. The content had to be short, plain-language and usable by everyone, including people who prefer to listen or need larger text.

My approach

  • A green, amber and red traffic light that turns a policy into one decision staff can make in seconds.
  • Section-by-section read-aloud using the browser's own speech engine, with the section being read highlighted, plus "Listen to all".
  • Adjustable text size, reading progress, keyboard focus styles, and a graceful fallback when speech isn't available.
  • A before-and-after example of stripping personal data, and a printable one-page summary.
  • Results broken down by objective, with links back to the section to review.
