Rise 360 · Microlearning
AI at Work: Foundations
A responsive microlearning course that takes non-technical staff from "what is AI?" to writing safe, useful prompts for everyday tasks.
The challenge
Employees were already using public AI chatbots, but without guidance. Leaders needed everyone to understand what AI can and can't do, and to use it without leaking confidential data.
My approach
- Short, mobile-first lessons built in Rise 360 so staff can finish in one coffee break.
- Two 90-second explainer videos introduce key ideas before learners practise.
- A prompt-makeover activity lets learners improve weak prompts step by step.
- Knowledge checks after each lesson, then a scenario quiz at the end.
Objectives and how each is assessed
Every assessment item was written before the content, and maps to exactly one objective.
| Learning objective | Assessment |
|---|---|
| Explain in plain language what generative AI is and how it produces answers. | Multiple-choice knowledge check (lesson 1) |
| Identify three tasks where AI helps and three where it is risky. | Sorting activity: drag tasks into Good fit / Risky |
| Rewrite a vague prompt into a clear, specific prompt. | Prompt makeover with model-answer comparison |
| Decide what information must never be pasted into a public AI tool. | Scenario quiz, 80% pass mark |
Results and reflection
Add pilot results, reviewer quotes or what you would do differently next time.
